BFF NOMINATIONS
BFF Nominations are OPEN for the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour. If you know someone making a difference in the foster care community, nominate them to be a BFF, Bananas Foster Family – we want to celebrate them, share their story, and inspire more people to get involved. Together, we can make a difference!
About our BFFs
Bananas Foster Families are those making a difference in the foster care community!
At every Banana Ball game, Bananas Foster invites ONE family/individual making a difference in the foster care community to be celebrated on the field. We share your story in front of thousands to inspire more people to get involved.
Those celebrated at the game will have the full VIB Experience, Very Important Banana, and get to experience the show unlike anyone else.
Who is a BFF?
Bananas Foster is celebrating those making a difference in the foster care community. What we look for in a nomination are…
- Active or former foster-kinship-adoptive-biological families/individuals involved in the foster care community
- Those who create a positive impact on children experience foster care
- Those actively engaged in supporting the community, such as mentoring new foster parents, participating in training, or collaborating with child welfare organizations
- Length of service; while all lengths of service are celebrated, we want to know if the family has shown sustained commitment over several years or taken on multiple placements
- Focused on joy; families who bring joy and a positive attitude to their role as foster parents.
- Consent to participate; nominees must be willing to attend the game and be publicly recognized. Please note that PRIVACY & PROTECTION is a priority to our team. Any child/teen experiencing foster care does not have to be in pictures or videos to protect their identity in care.
We are committed to honoring those making a difference in the foster care community from all walks of life. BFF selection will not be based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or disability. Our goal is to celebrate families who make a meaningful difference — inclusively and equitably.
When are BFFs Selected?
All nominations for BFFs will be reviewed and sent to the Selection Committee. The committee will review the nominations and choose the BFFs to be celebrated in chronological order. Our selection schedule is as follows:
November 2025 – BFFs for games February – May 2026 will be confirmed.
February 2026 – BFFs for games June – August 2026 will be confirmed.
May 2026 – BFFs for games September – October 2026 will be confirmed.
*Our timeline for selection is subject to change, as needed.
Where is my city?
So, I can’t find my city on the nomination form? The first selection meeting of our BFFs is complete. If you do not see your city listed on the form, that means we have secured the BFF celebration for those games.
But, I still want to get involved, what can I do? Share your story! Because we can only celebrate ONE BFF per game, we have other ways you can inspire more people to get involved. Let Bananas Foster be the platform to share your story and make a lasting impact. If you are interested, please CLICK HERE.
